Amanda Klatt

Amanda Klatt (Resource Coordinator)

Amanda started coming to PFLAG in 2012. At that time she was quiet, in need of education and support. It seems to have been a good fit as she is now giving back to the organization. For the past year, she can be seen welcoming others to the meetings and facilitating various groups. She can also be seen behind the table at events for PFLAG and holding the banner proudly at rallies. While working for the State of CT and helping support PFLAG, she also finds time to help raise her two teenage sons. Other times, you may also catch her searching for antiquities, playing cards with her friends, or quietly making her own jewelry.

Cassandra Martineau (Secretary)

After a lifetime of teaching and caregiving, coupled with a side of activism, lately Cassandra has been focusing more on speaking up for trans rights. Cassandra has spoken at several rallies for the Women's March on Washington, CT Chapter, of which she is a state leader, is a volunteer at True Colors, a Stonewall Speaker, and member of the NAACP. She also writes for Transcending Chaos, a blog she runs to talk about trans issues, and speaks about and advocates for trans equality at every opportunity. She is proud to be accepted into PFLAG as secretary and looks forward to contributing however she can.
